Like many forums, we need guidelines. In this post, we cover the basics.
Aldi HvH Guidelines
Article 1: General Definitions
- Member/User: Any individual registered and participates in the forum.
- Administrator/Moderator: Individuals responsible for overseeing the forum, enforcing guidelines, and managing user interactions.
- Content: Any posts, comments, messages, or other contributions made by users on the forum.
Article 2: Respect and Courtesy
- Treat every member with respect. Harassment, discrimination, and hate speech will not be tolerated.
- Engage in discussions with a constructive and positive attitude.
Article 3: Privacy and Confidentiality
- Do not share personal information about yourself or others, including addresses, phone numbers, and any other private details.
- Doxxing (revealing someone's private information) is strictly prohibited.
Article 4: Content Sharing
- Do not post or share any copyrighted material without permission.
- Leaking private information or software is forbidden.
Article 5: Appropriate Content
- Avoid posting content that is offensive, obscene, or otherwise inappropriate. Examples include:
- Extreme hate speech or discriminatory remarks
- Explicit or pornographic material
- Violent or graphic content (depending on context, such as in-game screenshots)
- Threats or harassment
- Misinformation or false claims
- Spam or irrelevant messages
Article 6: Spam and Advertising
- Refrain from spamming the forum with repetitive or irrelevant messages.
- Unauthorized advertising or self-promotion is not allowed.
Article 7: User Responsibilities
- Keep your account information secure, and do not share your login details with others.
- Report any suspicious activity or violations of these guidelines to the moderators.
- Participate actively and contribute positively to the community.
Article 8: Moderation Policies
- Moderators can edit, move, or delete any content that violates these guidelines.
- Moderators may issue warnings, suspend accounts, or permanently ban users who repeatedly violate the guidelines.
Article 9: Handling Disputes
- If a dispute arises between users, they are encouraged to resolve it amicably through private messages.
- Users may contact a moderator for assistance if the dispute cannot be resolved.
- Moderators will review the situation and take appropriate action to ensure a fair resolution.
Article 10: Administrator Discretion
- In cases of doubt, the administrators can take appropriate action. This may include, but is not limited to, post deletion, account suspension, and account closure.
- Decisions made by the administrators are final and are made in the community's best interest.
